Customise the hierarchy before customising the style.

Most people start by changing colours, fonts, and images because those edits are immediately visible. But the more important question is: what should people notice first?

For a concert, that may be the artist.

For a recurring club night, it may be the event name.

For a one-time party, the date or theme might matter more.

Decide the first, second, and third most important pieces of information before styling them.

A flexible template becomes much stronger when the hierarchy is rebuilt for the actual event.

Don’t Just Replace Text Line by Line
